Well friends, it is official. I'm an associate member of the 8th Cavalry Association. My father served in Co. B, 1st Battle Group, 8th Cavalry in Korea. This is one of the most humbling honors to be able to associate with men who served their country honorably and with distinction. The 8th Cavalry is one of the most decorated regiments in the First Cavalry Division. The regimental motto says it all, "Honor and Courage."
